649 - 3,7 cm PaK 36 auf Selbstfahrlafette Bren(e)

Wotcha.

I finally finished this beauty last night: very happy with it, too!
It's a 3,7 cm PaK 36 auf Selbstfahrlafette Bren(e) - a German conversion of a captured Bren Carrier, and - rather pleasingly - it's made from (further converted from!) a complete conversion kit that Warlord Games actually sells!

Yay! More Brens!

  1. How cute!

No seriously, it does look a formidable beast, and a superb paint job as always.

    1. Cheers, matey!

(and I'll happily go with 'cute'!)

  2. Koolio, Nice weathering, but where you have it on the bottom of the super structure, you need to pile it on inside the tracks to at least the same extent - your camera/lights might just be washing it out/shining through, but y'know; I know you'd be cross if I thought you'd left a clean bit :)

    1. Thanks, Mate!

It is there (I promise!) but you're right: I think it needs a bit more. Hmmm...Cheers.

  3. An excellent and unusual vehicle. The reuse of captured kit is often overlooked but the Germans did it a lot.

    1. Smart people - pity about their leadership!

This will be supplemented by a captured Boys AT rifle team and a couple of captured lorries, for a post-Dunkirk-y kind of a feel.

      Cheers Lee,

  4. Am a big fan of captured gear in people's armies. This thing is so cool mate and nice to see a version that isn't purely for the Desert theaters. Bravo!
