Hi, All,
As promised a while back, here's a bunch of photos of my fantastic FLGS: The Giant's Lair - "The South-West's Premier Wargaming Centre". No comments, I'm afraid, as I'm knackered, but enjoy some of their lovely scenery. Oh, and as it's a double-width two-storey industrial unit, this is just the main games room - only a quarter of the whole floorspace:
There's some seriously awesome tables there! The table with the intra-galactic swirl particularly caught my eye. But my word -- that's only a quarter of the floor space? Wow.
ReplyDeleteAgreed with jabberjabber there.. the space table.. beautiful.. very cool tables overall, and am green with envy for not having access to them myself..
ReplyDeleteAgreed. To see that many tables with kind of variety is great. Who wouldn't want access to that kind of gaming space?
DeleteRon, FTW
Wow. That's incredibly impressive, both in appearance and with the knowledge that there's three times more than what we've seen hiding off-camera!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chaps!
ReplyDeleteThe place has only been open sixmonths but it seems to be going from strength-to-strength.
At the moment, the space I've shown is the main playing space, but all will become a little more clear in the next post...
Wow. I have to concur with the previous posts, a tailor-made space table? BFG, here we come ...
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I often neglect tables/terrain in favour of the models themselves. After reading this I'm going to start a little terrain project on the side I think. Thanks for sharing!
Ah I love my terrain making and in the past have neglected models for terrain building lol
DeleteIt's a STORE? That's amazing.
ReplyDeleteThere's some fanastic stuff there, I love that BFG table!
ReplyDeleteThanks, All!
ReplyDeleteI'll pass some of these kind and encouraging comments on to the guys who run the place.
Part II's going up imminently...
That's incredible! I'd love to have access to such a gaming space, and some of those tables are just beautiful to look at. It may just be necessary to organise a pilgrimage south to visit such an awesome gaming location.
ReplyDeleteSeen Part II?!
ReplyDeleteMate, if you were able to it'd be grand, and I'd happily put you up (naturally!). Plus, it's a good place for cream teas in this neck of the woods too...
I have indeed, its a very impressive venue. Plymouth is a bit of a treck for me, but if I ever have the opportunity to head to that part of the world, I will assuredly be looking you up and hoping to get in a visit.
