496 - Bolt Action Scenic Pin Markers/Order Dice

Hullo - I thought some of you might like what I made last fortnight:
They're 'Heroclix' bases, which function as order dice holders and pin markers for those folks who - like me - get easily confused.

I must point out, that this is not my original idea: it's taken wholesale from the marvellous work of Jarec at SIX-D-SIX (link here) who also gives such a smashing tutorial that even I was able to follow it. And boy, are these quick to make!

For once, I'll let the pics speak for themselves...
With thanks again to the excellent Jarec,

- Drax.

  2. Very smart. I really like how they match the bases of your figures, a cool accessory :-)

    1. Cheers, Paul: a bit of fairly uncharacteristic concurrent basing from Drax...

  4. I'm with Z - no idea what they are for, but the seem snazzy, and that tutorial was nice and simple to follow. Looks like an idea that can be applied to a range of games requiring a similar solution.

    1. Yup - I did think about it for wound tracking, but frankly it'd be simply over-engineering for such a use...

  9. Drop me an email, mate (check 'about me') and I'll send you the ones I used... which I reckon are an improved version anyway!

  11. Bumping again - I'd like to try these out on our 54mm 1/32nd scale Bolt Action armies. Could you point us to where the heroclix bases come from please? TIA.

    1. Hullo, Mike - welcome aboard!

I just bought a job lot of random Heroclix figures on eBay - dirt cheap.

I must say, I've not heard of Bolt Action in 54mm...have you a link or a site I could take a look at, please?
