557 - Alive and Struggling

Hullo,

I am here.

I've even managed to get in some painting and gaming.

But blogging?

- No. The smackdown that is my Real Life right now is starting at last to... er... settle? - yeah, let's go for 'settle' - but I'm ferrule-deep in my second job each night, so everything is pretty much on hold.

*sad face*

In the meantime, here's a picture from my most recent battle:

I will update you all, I promise...

- Drax.

  1. Two jobs.... Yikes. Stiff upper lip and all that mate.

Good to hear gaming and a little hobbying are still going on though.

Mickey-mouse trucks look flippin lovely on that road - hope to see more on that game soon?

    1. Cheers, mate.

Mrs. Drax has made me take the night off tonight, so I can actually reply!

For the third summer in a row, I'm working as a GCSE Literature examiner. I have to mark about 30 papers each night to get through my pile, and that's about 4-5 hours a night.

So hobby time is at a real premium!

There will be a little more on the game...

  4. Glad to see you're still with it. I've missed your posts for inspirations/ideas for my Bolt Action Brits.

    1. Kind words, Kushial - thank you indeed!

There will be a couple of things over the next couple of weeks, hopefully...

  5. Thank you, Jakub!

Can I assume you mean 'original' in a good way?

Some folks have noted that the spots I've painted are quite small, but my research turned up a huge range of sppt sizes in original photos, and I liked the different look of this one.

That said, it was a pain for me to hand-paint all those small circles!

Easier, I think, to follow Cameron's approach if you can: make a masking tape stencil using a hole punch, and spray it with an airbrush!
