084 Infantry-only 3000pts Army List

Here you go...

...for your entertainment. This is actually two entire companies of the 2/24th - B Coy and D Coy (follow
this link for a mostly up-to-date Orbat) plus a few attached veterans and snipers. In total, this force comprises 233 men, including 8 officers and 2 commissars. And an absolute crap-load of lasguns.

NB: Those units listed in a slightly lighter shade of red are painted up or W-i-P and may therefore mostly be viewed in more detail via the links in the right-hand column.

  1. That's a lot of flashlights! All infantry armies always look so awesome. Plus they inspire paint pity from all the folks who wonder what illness causes someone to paint that many infantry!

  2. 233 men!?! The set-up time alone must be a nightmare - much kudos to you though for pulling it all together. It must look awesome when taking to the battlefield.

  3. I've established that a gunline army with Full Command including Shrike and Pedro Kantor, 4 tactical squads 4 sniper scout squad, 2 razorbacks (AC), a 10 man termie squad, 10 Sternguard and 10 Devastators could kill about 250 men over 6 turns.

    This is assuming no smurf losses, but that about balances up IG routing losses.

    Can't wait for the new codex when I hear 4 squads and a command squad will total 200pts - better get painting Drax!

    Don't forget (a) the thirty-four heavy weapons, (b) the vast amount of special weapons, (c) the almost ubiquitous 4+ cover saves and (d) the fact that I'm not just gonna wander out towards a smurf gunline?
