408 - 15mm Bolt Action British 'Reinforced Platoon' Finished and Based

Well now.
A break in the weather meant I could varnish, which officially makes my 15mm British (early war) core platoon the fastest I've ever completed a project. Less than a month, start to finish!
Whew!
Back to 40k next, but just in case the Wonderful Dai is still wondering, yes - I have made some progress on my Matilda (bottom left):
It's further down the painting queue now though...

- Drax.

  1. They look great. I love the idea of 15mm Bolt Action. The local players already have 28mm.

  2. Thanks, Mate!
I reckon 28mm looks superb, but the prospect of the cost, the level of painting detail and the depth of terrain required at that scale is WAY beyond my means, my ability and my resources!

    1. I always liked the little feature in a White Dwarf years ago where a chap used Epic figures to make travel 40K. He used a foam in a briefcase as his battlefield and the individual Epic figures had pins in the bottom. It seemed to work quite well!

    2. Now THAT really is a genius idea. Proper old school!

  3. That's not a bad idea, just using smaller scales to make a project more manageable. Might do something similar for my planned ACW stuff... very nice work on that platoon, they look really good.

  5. They look great. I couldn't even imagine working in this scale, I drive myself nuts with GWs chunky 28mm so the is really well done.

I must say, I really did enjoy this little project...and like a good boy, I've already started back on the 40K!
