Dai, thank you so much for making me think again about my frustration with these: I've looked again at the earlier models and yes - I suspect you're right. I even explored the possibility that they're commonwealth variants.
Mind you, that doesn't explain the fact that the four 'other brand' models are shorter at the front (the prow, in front of the crew compartment). Ach! I'm someone who likes uniformity, and this is an annoyance!
STILL, you're right: I've been itching to try out a carrier platoon and now I have the wherewithal to do so. And yes - I fully intend to cut up paperclips for gun barrels!
Oooooh, enigmatic.
ReplyDelete{hand in the air} Me sir ! Me Sir ! ME SIR ! {thinks he knows the answer}.
Is it that they are ever so slightly different sizes ?
I'm ever so slightly gowling...
ReplyDeleteIs it that the 4 at the back are all Early War Bren Carriers and the 3 at the front later war Universal Carriers?
ReplyDeleteThe more carriers the better I say. (Cut up some paperclips to add as MG barrels!)
