506 - 6MMRPC 3: Still Beginning....and Painting Chart
Alright, Dudes. Here's what my painting chart looks like for Flames of War these days:
I've just noticed that the new Vickers platoon's bases should be medium - not large. D'oh!
At some point over the last few months I bought and built the Vickers MG platoon, which is officially the only unit I was 'missing' from my 11AD force. Since last post, I've made all five of my new Shermans now (the older, finished one is for comparison) - hooray! I actually added some tracks-n-stuff to each glacis too, for once:
Very smart looking tanks, and a nice looking painting chart too! (I'm figuring green is done?) Always satisfying to get to the end of a project, if there is such a thing :-)
Yeah, my 11AD force *is* officially 'done', but the MGs are there now for the sake of cheap extra options and the extra Shermans'll help me build a Normandy list.
Of course, when PSC release their 15mm universal carriers there is a *tiny* chance I might have to fill out my recce screen...
...and I've never been tempted by them, but earlier on this evening I remembered that in the PSC pipeline are 17pdrs with Halftrack tows.
Also - I use my vickers MG platoon nearly every game. With their carriers they are a really versatile unit with decent anti infantry firepower. The infantry list ones can bombard as well, which is really useful at times.
Yeah, this is an infantry list, so they've got the rule. Interesting that you find it useful - that's good to know.
Am I right in thinking that they convert their carriers into (essentially) MG carriers? - that's certainly worth considering (oh do hurry up with those carriers, PSC!).
I must say I was surprised to note they're very nearly as pricey as the alternative 4.2" mortars, which I have found astoundingly useful!
Ha! if it were possible to be 'prodigiously slow' mate, then that'd be me, so I rather suspect you're better off looking after your own vehicle park, eh?!
Ooooh. M4A1 ? Are they the 'enabled' ones ? We could do some more 'enabling' soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I follow you, Zzzzzz...
DeleteThat's because I am sometimes inadvertently obtuse and type what I've thought, rather than separating the subject matters for the reader, sorry.
Delete(I realise I still have not explained myself, but there you go, eh ?)
Impressive tanks...
ReplyDeleteI prefer these PSC models to the Battlefront ones I've come across in every single way!
DeleteIt'll take all 5 of those poor buggers to take out one Tiger.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff.
I've never yet had to face one - I assume I'd just die very swiftly and very horribly...
DeleteI do wish PSC would hurry up and release their Stuart M3s.
Cheers!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Mate!

Oh, blast...
Thank goodness for 6MMRPC.
Nice job mate, the tracks on the front look great. They are M4A4's, btw... ;)
ReplyDeleteOh - did I get something wrong? - I frequently do...
DeleteKool, cheers.
DeleteOh - with you now. Thanks, MTH!
