563 Travel Hobby Frustration

Hullo, All.

[From 19th July]

I'm abroad at the moment, on a trip with work, and I thought I'd bring along some basic toys to paint, should the opportunity arise.

It hasn't, however. So here, at least, is proof of my good intentions:
2x trucks and some green and black paint!

[From 25th July]

I'm now back visiting my dad in Portsmouth, but I took the precaution of bringing with me 48 Sikh Desert Rats, and I've already managed to sneak out and base coat them with some sand-coloured rattlecan spray.

We'll see what happens next, eh?!

Yours,

Drax.

  1. Intentions count for naught!

But spray painting in Dad's back garden works just fine. Redeemed!

36 years old tomorrow, and I'm still hiding my hobby from my dad!

    3. Thanks, mate!

Had a lovely day (at about 10am my daughters and dad remembered that it was my birthday!) ... but a combination of keeping my hobby fairly secret and not being a family of gift-givers has meant that I've genuinely never received a hobby-related present!

Did however get a fly by in the balmy summer evening from a Spitfire flying aerobatics overhead! Awesome 1940 vibe.

  2. You are not alone sir! My paint box has hundreds of excess well intended but ultimately fruitless miles of travel in its history!
